Abstract
Since the 1960s and 1970s,with the continually developing trend of population aging in the world,many governments,including British government,had to bear a sharply rising pension payment for old people.To make it worse,the worldwide economic depression caused by the oil crisis in 1973 threw Britain,the self-styled ＂welfare state＂ into a dilemma.Thatcher government made a daring reform and rewarding try in pension system,The kernel content of Thatcher government＇s pension system reform is the introduction of the private pension scheme.关键词
