Abstract

With applications of the EILog equipment, a large number of imaging log data are also extensively used. Discussed are potential defects of ACME( Acquisition Control Management Expert) software platform in large amount of log data network transmission. Real-time data network transmission has been optimized in data compression and optimum data transmission. Advantages and disadvantages of different compression methods are tested and analyzed under different test conditions. After practical use and data analyses of the data compression plan, the LZW (Lempel-Ziv-Welch) compression algorithm is selected as the optimization method for real-time log data compression. With improving the network transmision method, data compression rate of the optimized LZW algorithm is 25% higher than others. Both CPU and memory system work smoothly. The above optimized methods are very suitable for logging tools with a small number of log data. There are still some difficulties and we need much better data compression algorithm.
