Abstract
Objective To discuss the surgical treatment of acute obstruction by colorectal carcinoma in the elderly. Methods 112 cases with acute obstruction by colorectal carcinoma received surgical treatment were analyzed retrospectively from January 1991 to January 2011,. Results Of all 112 cases, 94 received complete resection, and the resection rate was 83. 9%. 3 cases received shortcut operation, 15 cases received simple colostomy. All cases were proved by pathologic data. There were 43 cases having all kinds of complication in perioperative period(38. 4%. Conclusion Positive operation should be taken when the diagnosis of acute obstructing colorectal carcinoma in the elderly is made. The operative method depended on the patients' conditions. We believed it is important to enhance perioperative management of acute obstructing colorectal carcinoma in the elderly for decreasing mortality and complications.关键词
