摘要

Abstract

The propagation of the fault wave is very complex in hybrid lines in distribution network. It is difficult to identify the wave which reflected back from the point of failure by single terminal location method without external signal source so the method is not applicable in this condition. Double ended fault location method only needs to detect the exact time when the initial wave barrier first arrive to the both end of the line and don' t have to consider the refraction and reflection wave. So the results obtained from this method are reliable. But the velocity of wave varied widely in overhead lines and cable lines and this lead to the failure of the traditional double-ended fault location method. For this problem the paper proposed a fault search algorithm based on the variable of time and according to the algorithm we put forward a fault location solution for hybrid lines with branch. At last the effectiveness of the method is proved by ATP simulation.
