摘要

Abstract

There are a lot of methods to control maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of solar cell, such as linear approximation method, voltage feedback method, perturbation, observation method, fuzzy control, neural network control and so on. Any MPPT control strategy has its own characteristics. Considering the nonlinear characteristics of photovoltaic cells, the principle of maximum power point tracking was discussed at first; and then, the improved differential evolution algorithm was used to improve the perturbation and observation method to reduce the shock process and ensure the photovoltaic array to work stably around the maximum power point. The simulation results show that the use of the differential evolution algorithm can improve MPPT with good adaptability.
