Abstract
Traditional logit model suffered from its implicit and unreasonable assumption, I. E. , independent and identical distribution (I. I. D). Motivated by this drawback, this paper develops a new logit-based stochastic user equilibrium (SUE) model. This model explicitly accounts for path size in route choice modeling, which can partly overcome the drawbacks of the traditional logit model. This path size logit (PSL) SUE model is formulated as a nonlinear programming, which can be solved by the method of successive average (MSA). Uniqueness and equivalence conditions of the proposed PSL-SUE model were also proved. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model by comparing it with the traditional logit-based SUE model. Experiments show that the PSL-SUE model has potential to handle the path size problem.关键词
