摘要

Abstract

Considering the issues may happen involving the excessively high speed rotation of wind turbine and the over voltage output which damage the load and controller when applying the wind-electric pumping system with converter driven in high wind speed conditions.a series braking control method to ensure the stable and safe operation of the system with high tip-speed ratio was presented. The effectiveness and validity of the control system are verified by establishing experimental system and comparing the corresponding control characteristics between the proposed new method and the traditional parallel braking method in Matlab/Simulink simulation environment. Simulations and experiments demonstrate that with the proposed method the system can work at more wide range of wind speed. Particularly in high wind speed conditions.the system can keep DC link voltage stable with low braking power. The proposed method bears good application prospects for the future.
