Application of the GIS-based weight evidence method to quality manganese ore prediction in southwestern Guangxi

Abstract
Field theory is introduced to express the metallogenic influence of linear geologic bodies and o-vercome limitations of traditional buffer method in evidences construction, objectiveness of evedence factor designation and information loss due to binarization of evidence . Linear regression analysis method is proposed to filter the evidence factors. On basis of analyzing metallogenic conditions of quality manganese ore in southwestern Guangxi and GIS spatial analysis 15 evidence factors, such as horizon and lithology, syn-sedimentary fault, sedimentary basin, sedimentary facies, lithologic assembly, strata isopach, degree of dissection and magnetic anomaly of the quality Mn ore deposit are constructed to calculate the degree of manganese formation favorableness, and one class I and two class II quality manganese ore prospects are predicted.关键词
