摘要

Abstract

Based on the disadvantages of existing treatment technologies for low intermediate level solid radwastes (LILSW) from nuclear power plants (NPPs), the mechanism and advantages of thermal plasma treatment of radwastes are introduced. The features and application of some famous systems for radwastes treatment are illustrated. The problems worthy of additional attention, technology difficulties as well as probable solutions to developing thermal plasma LILSW volume-reduction technology are discussed.
