Abstract
The acceleration of urbanization which increases the need of land makes it necessary to use land intensively.Based on remote sensing images in 2007,we analyzed the land use in Chancheng district,Foshan city.Combining the analysis and the data contained in the statistical yearbook of Foshan city from 2003 to 2007,the researcher by presents a comprehensive evaluation on the intensive land use in Chancheng district from the perspective of land economic benefit,social benefit and environmental benefit etc using AHP（the analytic hierarchy process）.The result shows that,from 2003 to 2007,the aggregate index of intensive land use in Chancheng district is between 0.35 and 0.84,which indicates a transition from moderate extensiveness to high intensiveness and great potential for intensive land use in this district.It is also found that the land economic benefit marks the lowest,which suggests the greatest economic potential and be given the priority to develop.关键词
