Abstract
The mechanism of mass mortality of fish in a fishpond ,which results from the lightning current of transmission tower nearby, is analyzed . It is revealed that the death of fish is caused by the lightning current from the transmission tower. Based on the condition of low resistivity of the soil in the Pearl River Delta Region , three meas- ures are proposed, namely, using horizontal earth electrode outward from the fishpond, moving the grounding electrode outward from the fishpond, and placing an insulating barrier between the pond and the grounding electrode. Then the current distribution is simulated by the finite element simulation software and the feasibility standard is presented.关键词
