摘要

Abstract

The ice load on transmission lines and the load caused by iced conductor galloping can cause tower collapse and conductor breakage accidents,seriously threatening the safe operation of power system.In a large multi-function artificial climate chamber,we experimentally researched the icing growth and critical anti-icing current of different type conductors under different meteorological conditions,and obtained a curve of relationship between icing growth and time under different conditions.Moreover,we analyzed the factors affecting the growth of ice and anti-icing current on transmission lines.The research results show that the running current can reduce the growth rate of ice on conductors.And under the same icing condition,there is a rapid growth of ice on conductor with small diameter.The environmental temperature and wind velocity have a significant effect on ice accretion on transmission lines.And the ambient temperature will determine the type of ice on transmission lines.The conductor may anti-ice when the value of running current is large enough,which depends on the circumstance parameters.The research results can be used to reveal the mechanism of ice accretion on transmission lines.
