转型经济下我国创业制度环境变迁的实证研究
An Empirical Study on the Entrepreneurial Institutional Environment in China as a Transitional Economy

Abstract
Institutional environment is a determinant factor of entrepreneurial activities. There is a growing interest of studying institutional environment in transitional economy, such as China, and its impact on entrepreneurial activities. However, a limited number of studies on the applicability of regulation, cognitive, normative dimensions of institutional environment from the West to the East are available. In addition, the study on different stages of the longitudinal comparative analysis is rare. In recognition of the gap, this study investigates the institutional environment in China to better understand how to cultivate and construct it.In the first part of this paper, we review literature on institutional environment. Three dimensions of institutional environment, including regulative, normative and cognitive, are adopted to measure the institutional environment of China. China went through different transitional stages of privatized economic development. We divide the transitional stage into three stages; stage 1 (1978 -1987) , stage 2 ( 1988 - 1998) , and stage 3 ( 1999 - now). In the second part of the paper, we propose our hypotheses that regulative, normative, and cognitive dimensions would be better in the third stage than in the second stage of economic transition. The third part of this paper discusses the research methodology, including survey design and implementation, as well as reliability and validity tests of the questionnaire. We also perform statistical tests to validate our proposed hypotheses. We conclude this study with implications and future research directions.关键词
