Al2MO3O12的制备及其负热膨胀性能研究
Study on Synthesis and Negative Thermal Expansion Properties of Al2Mo3O12

Abstract
Negative thermal expansion materials Al2Mo3O12 powders were synthesized by solid state reaction using alumina and molybdenum trioxide as raw materials. The compositions, morphologies and microstructures of the resulting powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction ( XRD ) , field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscope ( HRTEM) respectively. The phase transition temperature and thermal expansion property were investigated by Raman spectrometer, differential scanning calorimetry ( DSC ) and thermo mechanical analyzer. The results show that the sample sintered at 750 ℃ for 12 h is monoclinic phase of Al2Mo3O12. The sample is irregular polygon and arrange compact with grain sizes around 20-40 μm. The results of the Raman spectra,TMA and DSC reveal that phase transition temperature is about 202 ℃. It is suggested that the translational and librational motions are closely coupled with stretching and bending vibrations, and they together give rise to the negative thermal expansion. The thermal expansion coefficient of Al2Mo3O12 was -1. 918 X 10-6/℃ in the range of 230-750 ℃ ,and -8. 0 x 10-6/℃ in the range of 750-900 ℃.关键词
