Abstract
In order to probe into the basis and approaches for design of anti-corrosive oil well cement paste systems, compositions of corrosion products, microstructure and compressive strength of corroded oil well cement paste matrix were examined by X-ray dif- fraction, scanning electron microscopy, and strength test instrument. Corrosion of the oil well cement paste matrix by sulfate ion (SO42-) during enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in adjustment wells was studied. Corrosion action type was identified and the change law of compressive strength was revealed. Results show that the corrosion type of cement paste matrix by SO42– is of ettringite-gypsum mixture corrosion. Critical corrosion time for the change of the compressive strength varying law is about 21 d. When corrosion time is less than 21 d, compressive strength of corroded cement paste matrix increases with the increase of the corrosion time and SO42– concentration. When corrosion time reaches or exceeds 21 d, compressive strengths of corrosive cement paste matrix is smaller than that of un-corroded cement for all of the samples. The compressive strength of corrosive cement paste matrix precipitously declines with the increase of corrosion time and SO42– concentration. When corrosion time is within 21 d, compressive strength of corrosive cement paste matrix increases with the increase of corrosion temperature. When cement paste matrix has been subject to erosion for 28 d, compressive strength increases with the increase of temperature until reaching 55 ℃ and then the increasing extent declined if the temperature continues to rise.关键词
