广西性连锁平衡致死系雄蚕品种材料选育初报
Preliminary report on breeding male silkworm varieties corresponding to sex-linked balanced lethal line in Guangxi

Abstract
[Objective]The present experiment was conducted to innovate the resources of subtropical mulberry varieties in South Asia and to improve the quality of silkworm cocoon in Cuangxi. [Method]The male silkworm materials, viz., Ping 28 and Ping 32, corresponding to sex-linked balanced lethal line, were introduced to Guangxi Academy of Sericultural Sciences from Sericultural Research Institute, Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and were crossed and improved with conventional varieties, viz., 7532 (Japanese line), Liangguang 2 direct cross (Fu-9x7-Xiang) and dual hybrid Fu·9 (Furongx932) in 2005. [Result]The larva survival rates of two breeding male silkworm based materials Pinggui 12L1L2· Ping 28 and Pinggui 10L,L2-Ping 32 were increased significantly, especially in Pinggui 12L1L2·Ping 28, where it was 87.26% (increased by 22.15%, absolute value), compared to parent Ping 28. The cocoon shell formation rate of Pinggui 12L1L2·Ping 28 and Pinggui 10L1L2·Ping 32 was 23.32 and 21.64%, which increased by 2.44 and 0.76% compared to parent 7532, respectively. When the male individual was crossed with female individual, the rate of F1 male silkworm was 100%, the cocoon shell formation rate was over 23.50% and the cocooning rate was over 97.00%. The quality indices of cocoon silk were found better than parents. [Conclusion]The improved varieties, viz., Pinggui 12L1L2·Ping 28 and Pinggui 10L1L2·Ping 32, which were derived from 7532, a sex-linked balanced lethal line, had stronger vitality and better feed effects , and they may be improved into tropical and subtropical male silkworm varieties corresponding to sex-linked balanced lethal line and used as special breed of male silkworm.关键词
