江苏水稻主栽和候选品种抗黑条矮缩病鉴定
Identification of resistance to rice black-streaked dwarf disease in main rice cultivars and candidate varieties in Jiangsu

Abstract
[Objective]The purpose of the current study was to screen rice cultivars resistant to rice black-streaked dwarf disease (RBSDD) in order to develop breeding source for disease resistance breeding. [Method]The resistance of rice varieties to RBSDD was evaluated under natural field conditions. The evaluated varieties included 36 main japonica rice varieties planted during 1980 to 2000 in Jiangsu, 57 main japonica rice cultivars planted during 2001-2008, 228 japonica rice materials used in various trials in 2009, 210 family materials of Zhenshan 97B/Minghui 63 as well as 365 new japonica rice lines bred by Lianyungang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. [Result]Of 896 tested rice varieties or lines, none was found immune to RBSDD, however, 81.1% were found moderately susceptible and only 1.8% were resistant to RBSDD. The level of resistance differed in rice cultivars collected during different years. The cultivars collected during past decade showed high resistance than those of 20 years ago. Amongst recently bred rice varieties from Lianyungang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the ratio of moderately resistance to moderately susceptible lines was distinctively higher compared to other four groups. Amongst the japonica rice varieties tested in the year 2009 in Jiangsu Province, mid maturing and japonica rice materials showed lower disease incidence compared to other types. After analyzing the relationship between rice strip leaf blight and black-streaked dwarf in Lianyungang, we found that the occurrence of rice black-streaked dwarf had some relaionship with the extended planting of strip leaf blight resistant rice varieties. [ Conclusion ] Sixteen RBSDD resistant rice cultivars such as Guangshenjin, etc., can be useful for breeding RBSDD resistant rice cultivars, studying resistance mechanism and exploring resistant gene. A suggestion was given to include both, the rice leaf blight disease and RBSDD resistance in future rice breeding programs in Jiangsu province.关键词
