Effect of Different Inoculation Matrix on the Propagation of Earthworm

Abstract
Different inoculation matrix such as cow dung, forest litter of Eucalyptus plantation etc. were taken to feed earthworm. The amount of earthworm, weight increasing multiples and matrix decomposition rate were analyzed to study the effect of different inoculation matrix on the propagation. The results showed that: In the initial stage of growth, treatment A (cow dung) was the optimum matrix, but along with the time prolong, the adaptability of earthworm in the cow dung matrix decreased. Although matrix of treatment C (forest litter of Eucalyptus plantation) was only slightly interior than cow dung maxtrix in the initial growth of earthworm, it was the most suitable matrix for the long-term feeding. Matrix of treatment B (corn stalk) was relatively worse for the growth of earthworm, but obviously superior to the control. Forest litter of Eucalyptus plantation can partially replace cow dung as the matrix for the feeding of earthworm.关键词
