摘要

Abstract

By building the model of the penetrator with enhanced lateral efficiency(PELE) and target of steel plate, LS-DYNA was used to simulate penetration of PELE filled copper, 2024-T3 aluminium and nylon against 4340 steel plate at the impact velocity of 1 500 m/s. The results show that the filling material has important influence on the producing of lateral efficiency. In a certain range, with the filling material density decreases, the lateral efficiency range becomes wider, and the remnant velocity after penetrating target becomes lesser.
