摘要
Abstract
Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of radical prostatectomy on patients with localized prostate cancer. Method: Analyzed the clinical data and follow-up results of 60 patients undergoing radical prostatectomy in our hospital from Mar. 2000 to Sep. 2009. Result: 60 cases undergoing radical prostatectomy were successful. The operation duration ranged from 120min to 280min, an average of 190 min; blood loss ranged from 200mL to 700mL, an average of 410mL. 60 patients were followed up, 49 patients answered, return visit rate was 81.7%. Thirteen patients (26.5% ) showed biochemical failure with criterion PSA> 0.4ng/mL. Seventeen cases (34.7% ) patients passed specific urine normal post-operation 3 months after surgery. Twenty-one patients (42. 9% ) had urinary incontinence after surgery that can restore urinary continence in 3 to 6 months. Seven patients (14. 3% ) had stress urinary incontinence, while four cases (8. 16% ) had entire urinary incontinence. Six cases (12. 2% ) had vesical neck stricture. Another follow up result shows 19 cases (73. 1% ) erection function recovered in 26 bilateral nerve-sparing operation and 3 recovered in 9 of unilateral nerve-sparing operation. The incidence of sexual dysfunction is 37. 1% (13/35). Conclusion: Radical prostatectomy is considered well for treatment of localized prostate cancer. Early diagnoses, adjuvant treatment, good understanding of prostate anatomy, the technical proficiency in surgery, good care of postoperative complications, are keys to successful operation, and they are also major factors which can affect quality of life of patients.关键词
