Abstract
Objective: To investigate the impact on quality of life of health education for the older patients with psychiatry accompanied by diabetes. Method; 168 cases with psychiatry accompanied by diabeteswere randomly divided into control group and observation group, and 84 cases were in each group. The control group was given conventional care, while the observation group was given system health education based on the conventional care, and then used Hamilton Depression Rating Scale ( HAMD) and Anxiety Scale ( HAMA) to assess before and after the nursing care. After that, we tested the scores of the diabetes knowledge in the two groups and observed the differences of them in blood glucose control. Result: The scores of HAMD and HAMA in the observation group was lower than which was in the control group, (P<0.05 ) ; after health education, the diabetes knowledge test scores and blood glucose control in the observation group were better than which were in the control group, (P<0.05). Conclusion; Health education for the quality of life of older patients with psychiatry accompanied by diabetes has significant impact, and it suggests that we should raise the importance degree of health education.关键词
