Abstract
Aim:To evaluate the clinical value of diffusion weighted imaging( DWI ) combined with in the T staging of rectal carcinoma. Methods: T staging was undertaken in 43 patients with rectal cancer by magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI ) conventional sequences, DWI, and DWI combined with MRI conventional sequences, respectively. All the results were compared with the pathological staging after surgery. Results: The tumor staging by DWI combined with MRI conventional sequences agreed with the pathological staging of rectal carcinoma. The total accurate rates for T staging of rectal carcinoma using MRI conventional sequences,DWI,both DWI and MRI conventional sequences were74.4%( 32/43 ),86.0% ( 37/43 )and 97. 7%( 42/43 ), respectively. Conclusion: DWI combined with MRI conventional sequences could be more accurate for the judgments of T-staging of rectal carcinoma.关键词
