Effects of coexisting impurities on phosphorus recovery in magnesium ammonium phosphate crystallization

摘要

Abstract

Phosphorous(P) in wastewater was removed and recovered as magnesium ammonium phos- phate(MAP) crystallization in this study. Coexistence impurities in wastewater affecting the P removal and recovery were investigated. Results showed that the existing of calcium ions increased the removal rate. The macromoleeular organic significantly reduced the removal efficiency and the small molecular organic had no influence of the of P removal. The removal efficiency of P enhanced with the addition of quartz sand, iron powder and bitu ruinous coal seeds. Among these additional seeding materials, bituminous coal could achieve the best results.
