Preparation and application of a novel environmental friendly flocculant for tap water treatment

摘要

Abstract

The novel high-efficiency composite water flocculant was prepared based on the composite and synergistic effect of organic and inorganic floeculants. Compared with the traditional water flocculant, the turbidi- ty of the water with this novel flocculant treatment was decreased by 0.65% , while its cost and the aluminum ion concentration in the treated water showed 9.29% and 77.3% reduction, respectively. In terms of economic costs, product performance and environmental consideration, the novel water flocculant is significantly superior to the traditional flocculant, having obvious economic and environmental benefits.
