Abstract

Floating environmental remediation materials,expanded perlite(EP) modified different loading times with TiO2 were prepared by Sol-Gel method.Photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B in polluted water by the materials(TiO2-EP)adsorption degradation kinetics,as well as the effects of recycling times,different loading times and the initial concentration of Rhodamine B on photocatalysis rate were studied.The recovered efficiency and catalytic activity of the regenerated photocatalyst were also tested.The results showed that photocatalyst modified three times with TiO2 is better than others.When the amount of photocatalyst is 0.2 g,after 6 h,removal rates of Rhodamine B in solutions with 10 mg/L and 15 mg/L Rhodamine B were 98% and 74%,respectively.The photocatalyst activity has little change after the five times recycling,and the degradation rate of Rhodamine B decreased less than 8%.The reaction of photocatalysis for Rhodamine B can be expressed as first-order kinetic mode within the concentration range of Rhodamine B between 10 mg/L and 30 mg/L.
