Subspace Modeling of Target and Detection Performance Analysis for MIMO Radar System

Abstract
The multidimensional signal model of target return for MIMO radar system with distributed apertures is established, which is responsible for the spatial and temporal uncertainty of the target. The invariant theory is used to construct several testing statistics for this MIMO radar system. The simulations show that the dimension of target subspace and the distribution of signal power in target subspace have much effect on the detection performance of the MIMO radar system. In the detection of scintillating target, the MIMO radar system has another advantage of suppressing mainlobe clutter over phased-array radar with the same size of antenna besides the advantage of non-coherent accumulation.关键词
