Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of kanglaite injection (KLT) on immunological function and expression of NF-κB in immunosuppressed mouse model. Methods:Forty C57BL/6 mice were divided randomly into the high dose(25 mL/kg),low dose (6.25 mL/kg) of KLT groups, model group and control group(n=10). All mice except that in control group were made into immunosuppressed models induced by CsA injection. High dose and low dose groups of KLT were treated with KLT at a dose of 25 mL/kg or 6.25 mL/kg by I.p. Injection. All mice were killed after 7 days. Spleens were removed and calculated spleen index, expression of IL-2 in spleen cells was detected using ELISA kit, western blot was used to assay protein expression of NF-κB and IκBα in spleens. Results:The spleen index of mice in KLT high dose and low dose groups were significantly higher than model group and control group (P <0.05). Comparing with model group, IL-2 expression of KLT high dose and low dose groups increased significantly (P<0.05). The protein expression of NF-κB in the nucleus increased and descended in the cytoplasm for IκBα in KLT high dose and low dose groups compared with model group. Conclusion:KLT could enhance immunological function by effecting spleen index, expression of IL-2, NF-κB and IκBα in immunosuppression mice models.
