摘要

Abstract

The initial polarimetric images and the corresponding qualitative and quantitative evaluations of LWIR polarization imaging system are presented in this paper. There are several methods of fusion of Long Wave Infrared polarimetric image, the methods provide with multiple choices to the displaying of image. The Long Wave Infrared polarimetric images of fusion are clearer in profile, more protuberant in object's edges and shapes, better in stereo sense than the original images of LWIR polarization. For the Long Wave Infrared polarimetric images of fusion, the mean of gray scales have been improved 168%, it's standard difference of gray scales have been improved 194%, the gradient of image of fusion of polarization have been improved 468%. A comparison between polarization images and origin infrared images shows that the technology of Long Wave Infrared polarization imaging can obviously increase the contrast between target and background. It is very available in the object discriminating. Comparing to images of the MWIR polarization imaging system, some sources of false polarization information of LWIR polarization images are presented, it is removed in the post-processed of polarization information. It is explained that MWIR polarization imaging system is better than LWIR polarization imaging system.
