摘要

Abstract

For a static pressure orifice throttle type of gas bearing, an analytical model was presented. The effects of the geometric parameters and inlet and outlet pressure of a gas bearing on its bearing capacity and mass flowrate were analyzed using the calculation flow dynamics software Fluent. These characteristics of the gas bearing under the static and dynamic outlet pressures were studied and compared. The appropriate characteristic parameters were determined for a gas bearing. The results can be used to the design of the gas bearings and the improvement of clearance seal for linear compressors.
