Abstract
Based on the wavelet energy spectrum (WES) and grey comprehensive relationship degree (GCRD), a new fault diagnosis method of commutation failures in the HVDC system is proposed, in which WES is used to quantify fault characteristics, and then the fault reasons are identified according to the GCRD analysis. First, it uses arc extinguishing angle to determine whether the commutation failures occur or not; then, the wavelet analysis of DC current fault signals is conducted to obtain the wavelet coefficients on every scale and calculate the WES; the obtained WES and the reference sequence of failures are analyzed based on GCRD analysis, and thus the fault reasons are identified according to the principle of maximum relationship degree. Simulation results show that the method can accurately diagnose commutation failures.关键词
