Abstract
In this paper, three structural design concepts for the beautification project of a 240-meter high chimney are proposed. The characteristic of each structural suggestion is discussed in details by comparison and calculation. All three structural solutions have gone beyond the conventional thoughts of structural engineers. The cable net structure is especially emphasized for its lightweight quality, strengthening the existing chimney and its promising future.关键词
