摘要

Abstract

Electroplated diamond wire saw was prepared using composite plating method. The influence of cathode current density as well as the plating duration for diamond grits embedding and plating upon the wire surface quality, diamond grits density and embedded depth was analyzed. The results indicated that, when the diamond grits to be fixed was 20 μm, reasonable cathode current density for both embedding and plating was 2.0 A/m2, while the corresponding embedding and plating duration was 7 min and 18 min , respectively. The wire saws manufactured under these technical parameters showed good surface quality, uniform distribution density and ideal embedded depth .
