Abstract
Objective: To explore the nutrition index and skinfold thickness correlation in Zhuang children and provide theoretical basis in nutrition interventions for ethnic minority children. Methods: Measure the height, weight,sitting height, triceps thicknesses, subscapular thicknesses, suprailiac thicknesses and calf thicknesses of the childrens from Zhuang ethnic group. Calculate the Kaup and Pelidisi index and analyze the correlations of Kaup and Pelidisi index with two skinfold thicknesses. Results: Females had the thicker skinfolds than males. There was difference in the development of the subcutaneous fat between Kazak, Jining city and rural. The correlation coefficient of Kaup index with skinfold thickness was greater than Pelidisi index. Y(male) = l. 025+0. 764x, y(female) = l. 142 + 0. 861x regression equation of triceps and subscapular skin-folds sum was estimated from the Kaup index. Conclusion-. The development of the subcutaneous fat was different in sex, age and ethics. Kaup index can be used to calculate the skinfold thickness and evaluate the nutritional status of children.关键词
