摘要

Abstract

This paper proposed a method of limitation state recognition based on hidden semi-Markov model( HSMM) for two stage equipment to overcome the disadvantages of traditional hidden Markov model ( HMM) , which hypothesized that the system state durations must submit to the exponential distribution. First, it analyzed the structures and characteristics of HSMM, and es-tablished a practical HSMM for two-stage equipment according to reasonable assumptions on the basis of system degradation process. Then, for the parameter estimation of HSMM, introduced the maximum likelihood estimation method to calculate the duration period of current state with small samples. Next, it put forward the HSMM based limitation state recognition process for two stage equipment using the tested state generated till the present time. At last, it implemented an example of two-stage e-quipment example to simulate the processes of HSMM modeling, parameter estimation and limitation state recognition. The sim-ulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
