Abstract
Multimedia technology has been playing a more and more important role in informatisation construction in universities. However, as the raise of the contents and the increase of the users, as well as the characters of the timeliness and the sporadicalness in campus multimedia systems, the use of a campus multimedia system constructed with traditional architecture will lead to enormous waste in server performance.Cloud computation is an emerging computation model which provides good scalability and high availability. In this paper we introduce the concept of cloud computation according to the analysis on characteristics of campus multimedia systems, discuss the feasibility and advantages of the development and deployment of the campus multimedia system on Amazon Web Service (AWS) platform with examples of the application.关键词
