Abstract
Objective: To identify the proper pressure range of hemostatic belt to press vein after femoral vein catheterization to reduce bleeding and pain of patients. Methods A total of 170 patients with hepatic failure were divided into 4 groups: 30 - 40 mmHg group, 40~50 mmHg group, 50~60 mmHg group, and 60~70 mmHg group. The bleeding rate and comfort degrees were observed then. Results Bleeding rate of the 40-50 mmHg group was lower than that of the 30~40 mmHg group (P<0.05), but there were no statistically significant differences in the 40~ 50 mmHg groupl, 50~60 mmHg group and 60 - 70 mmHg group(P>0.05). Comfort degree in the 40 - 50 mmHg group was significantly superior to that of other three groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion The proper pressure range of pressing belts was 40~50 mmHg after femoral vein catheterization. The conclusion is scientific and the result can be applied in further clinical practice.关键词
