中国古诗英译中人称指示词的补译
Supplement Translation of the Personal Pronouns in the English Translation of the Ancient Chinese Poems
摘要
Abstract
Personal pronouns are often omitted or implicit in ancient Chinese poems whereas explicit and indispensable in English poems. Therefore,it is necessary for the translator to supplement personal pronouns,in order to make the translated version accord with English grammatical rules, and help the translated version represent the essence and poetic mood of the original writing. To represent the essence and poetic mood of the original poem through the appropriate supplement of personal pronouns, the translator has to take into consideration the creation background, context situation and cultural connotation of the original poem,as well as the poetic mood of the translated version. In some cases, the translator could consider substituting the personal pronouns for the recurrent or unimportant names, places, idioms, and proper nouns with special Chinese cultural connotations in the original poem,so as to make the translated poem concise in language and concentrated in meaning.关键词
