Abstract
Objective To discuss the significance of tourniquet pressure simulation study on the finite element method for hemostatic operation. Methods The upper arm tissue was assumed as an elastic body and its geometric shape and anatomical structure were also simplified. According to the above assumption, the finite element model of the upper arm soft tissue and vessels was established and the deformation of the brachial artery was analyzed at different tourniquet pressures, tourniquet widths and systolic pressures. Results and Conclusion The results showed that the deformation of the brachial artery was correlated with the tourniquet pressure and the most suitable tourniquet width was approximately 35 mm. The tourniquet pressure slightly increased with the systolic pressure. The study of tourniquet pressure simulation based on the finite element method can provide data for tourniquet design.关键词
