摘要

Abstract

Friction and wear characteristics of carbon fiber reinforced polyetheretherketone(CFRPEEK) sliding on aluminum bronze QA19-4 was investigated on a ring-ring contact tribo test rig under water lubrication and dry condition respectively in order to learn about their applicability in the design of friction counterparts of water hydraulic elements.Effects of sliding velocity and normal pressure on friction factor and wear have been obtained.The friction and wear mechanism was further analyzed and discussed.The effect of sliding velocity on the friction factor is greater compared with normal pressure.The friction factor and volumetric wear rate of both aluminium bronze and CFRPEEK generally decrease with velocity,while pressure has little influence on the friction factor.But the wear rate of materials tends to increase with the pressure.The wear rate of aluminium bronze is much higher than that of CFRPEEK.The main wear mechanism of aluminium bronze is adhesive wear and abrasive wear caused by the aluminium bronze particles caught in the CFRPEEK.The main wear mechanism of CFRPEEK is adhesive wear and mechanical ploughing.As for the dry sliding case,both friction and wear increase remarkably and the friction factor gets unsteady.The lubrication effects and heat dissipation effects of water are attributed to the difference.
