摘要

Abstract

In this paper, the theoretical and experimental investigation of mechanism and technology of the abrasive belt follow-up grinding and polishing of the journal of crankshaft connecting rod made of nodular cast iron has been studied, in order to search an ideal kind of grinding and polishing technology based on the existing equipment. The conclusions were as follows, the transverse oscillation of abrasive belt can reduce the surface roughness of the jour- nal effectively ; to change the rotation direction of crankshaft can extend the serviceing life of belt, and increase the material removal rate, and also improve the dimensional accuracy of journal surface; the control factors affecting the machining quality of journal surface are the speed of crankshaft and polishing pressure ; to use the special polishing block can realize the polishing of transitional round-corner of crankshaft journal; the main factor affecting the belt plug extent is grinding pressure.
