摘要

Abstract

In the conventional seismic design of structures,the strength and elastic deflection are calculated according to frequent earthquakes.In order to ensure the structural seismic performance,the strength and elasto-plastic deflection must also be checked according to the design level earthquake and rare earthquake.Mode-superposition response spectrum method was adopted in this paper.The strengthened elasto-plastic model was used in ESDOF system.The main characteristic values of the model were determined from the conventional seismic design.The post-yield stiffness and damping ratio were modified along the hardened segment of model.The earthquake responses of structure were calculated with the response spectrum of the code.The example analysis of a two-story RC frame shows that the results obtained by the design spectrum method and the elasto-plastic time-history analysis are similar,but the computational process is greatly reduced for the former method.The design level earthquake and rare earthquake actions obtained by the proposed method may be used for checking the structural strength,and the corresponding deflection may be used to control structural deflection and for deformation capacity design.
