Realization of pseudo-static experimental study of beam-to-column joints in three dimensional frames
摘要
Abstract
An pseudo-static testing system was designed for beam-to-column joints in three-dimensional(3D) frames.The following characteristics are identified.First,beam end loading pattern is adopted.The newly developed spherical bearings are used as the column end restraining apparatus with outer confiners to prevent additional constraints induced on the beam under bidirectional loading.Second,loading synchronization is easy to be realized by linking all actuators at beam ends.The proposed system is suitable for both servo and non-servo loading modes.Finally,the vertical force-displacement relationships at multi beam ends are equivalently expressed as the story shear force versus story drift relationship of one column based on the energy conservation principle,which ensures the reasonable evaluation of the seismic behavior of connections.Validation tests on several joint specimens demonstrated the merits and applicability of this testing system for experimental research on seismic behavior of beam-to-column joints in three-dimensional(3D) frames.关键词
