Abstract
Objective To explore the association between 420 C/G polymorphism of resistin and hypertension in T2DM patients. Methods 72 healthy subjects, 40 T2DM patients and 40 patients with T2DM and hypertension were selected in normal control group, T2DM group and T2DM and hypertension group, respectively. The single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of resistin in three groups was demonstrated by PCR and restriction endonuclease digestion. The genotype frequency and allele frequency were compared among three groups. Results (1) There were three genotypes at the site of -420 of resistin gene:CC, CG and GG. (2) There were significant differences in the CC/ (CG+GG) genotype and the C/G allelic frequencies between T2DM patients with hypertention and healthy subjects (P= 0.0196). (3) There was no significant difference in genotype frequencies or allel frequencies between healthy subjects and T2DM patients (P = 0.2411)- (4) Resistin gene SNPs-420C > G genotype was compared with the risk factors of hypertention in T2DM with hypertention group: diastolic blood pressure, age were significiantly higher in the CG+GG subjects than those in CC subjects (P < 0.05). Conclusion There is a correlation between resistin gene -420C/G polymorphism and hypertention in type 2 diabetes.关键词
