Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect and safety of radiotherapy combined with zoledronic acid in the treatment of patients with bone metastases pain. Methods Fifty-six patients with multiple bone metastases were enrolled in this study. They received radiotherapy combined with concurrent zoledronic acid. Zoledronic acid (4 mg) were administered with 0.9% Sodium Chloride (100 mL/15 min) at the first day. The total dose of conventional radiotherapy was 40 ~ 50 Gy for 20 ~ 25 times. The radiotherapy lasted 28 ~ 35 days. Then patients were evaluated the therapeutic effects of radiotherapy combined with zoledronic acid in the treatment of patients with bone metastases pain. Results The effective rate of the treament for alleviating pain was 96%. The effective rate for improving the quality of life was 75%. And the incidence rate of adverse effects was 30%. Conclusion Radiotherapy combined with zoledronic acid is an effective therapeutic method with good safety in the treatment of patients with bone metastases pain.关键词
