Abstract
Objective To evaluate the relationship between glycated hemoglobin (HbAlc) and diabetic retinopathy (DR). Methods 150 cases with type II diabetes were randomly selected from January 2009 to January 2010 in our hospital, and they were divided in two groups: DR group and NDR group. The blood glucose and HbAlc levels were determined before and after the dinner. Results 150 patients with type II diabetes, including 88 patients in NDR group and 62 patients in DR group. The fasting blood glucose value was (12.58 ± 3.45) mmol/L in DR group while the value was (8.56 ±2.96) mmol/L in NDR group, the fasting blood glucose value in the DR group was higher than that of the NDR group (P < 0.05). The HbAlc value in the DR group was also significantly higher than that in the NDR group (P< 0.05). Conclusion The patients with increased HbAlc are prone to be DR, and the control of HbAlc can reduce the incidence of DR.关键词
