Slow Light Study in Photonic Crystal Waveguide
摘要
Abstract
The transmission properties of slow light in two-dimensional photonic crystal line defect waveguide was investigated by the plane wave expansion method.In this thesis,the impact on the group velocity was analyzed when varing the values of semi minor axis(A) and semi major axis(B) of the elliptical dielectric holes.The numercial simulation results prove that the flat dispersion curve of the guided mode can be generated when the semi minor axis(A) and semi major axis(B) are tuned progressively.Finaly,a desired slow light structure is designed,in which the maximum group velocity is below 0.072c,the minimum group velocity near band edge is just 0.002c,the guided mode is single mode and all the designs are simple.关键词
