Castleman(s) Disease First Manifesting Hoarseness: A case Report and Review of Literature
摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the clinical diagnosis and treatment status of Castlemans disease. Methods The process of diagnosis and treatment for one case with hoarseness as the first manifestation of multi-center type intrathoracic Castlemans disease was analyzed according to relevant domestic and international literature. Then clinical experience was summarized. Results The patient suffered from the classified pathologic subtype of hyaline-vascular variant and with the multi-center type in clinic. There was no recurrence after surgery and after 1 year follow up following glucocorticoid treatments. Conclusion Although Castlemans disease was found 50 years ago, its etiology and pathogenesis have not been elucidated, therefore, the scheme of symptomatic treatment and etiology treatment should be further studied. Current IL-6 and HHV-8 virus infection are possible factors of the disease. Research remains to be done before effective measures are worked out.关键词
