Cognitive Mechanism of Poetry Coherence：Ideal Cognitive Model
摘要
Abstract
Cohesion and coherence are two main topics in text study. Based on the previous research about the relation be- tween cohesion and coherence, this paper holds that cohesion can not guarantee coherence of texts. Thus, implicit cohesive devices must exist in texts without explicit cohesive devices. Along with this idea, this paper applies metaphor and metony- my of Ideal Cognitive Model into interpreting poems, which provides a new perspective for coherent poems and also proves that ICM has strong power in explaining poetry coherence.关键词
