Abstract
In certain context, Thematic Progression patterns of a text are related to text coherence. This paper attempts to explore how patterns of Thematic Progression affect English public speeches by analyzing the prepared speech in the 2004 ＂CCTV Cup＂ English Speaking Contest, in order to deepen our understanding of the correlation between Thematic Progression patterns and text coherence.关键词
