摘要

Abstract

To investigate thermal comfort of clothing added with phase change material microcapsules (PCMM), a system is developed to evaluate the dynamic thermal sensation (DTS) of clothed human body. The system includes three parts, the 25-node human thermoregulatory model, the model of heat and moisture transfer within clothes with PCMM, and the DTS model. After running the human body-clothes with PCMM-environment sub-system, human thermal responses are obtained. Then, DTS is predicted by using DTS model and the human thermal responses. The theoretical predictions are compared with experiment data and good agreement is observed. This indicates that the models are satisfactory. Also, DTS of human body with different garments containing different PCM are predicted and compared. The conclusion shows that the more PCMM in garment is, the better DTS and thermal comfort are.
